Hope College, in an effort to reflect a changing population not only in Holland but the country, is making great strides to diversify its faculty and its student body. The forum that the campus provides will act as a model in coming years for Holland to evolve into a vital and diverse city ready to embrace new trends in a world marketplace. Holland has a history of intolerance, but it is changing for the better. The level of thoughtful dialogue and steady meaningful change the college exhibits truly makes my husband and I proud to be Latino alumni of Hope College. My husband and I have lived in many different places while pursuing our graduate work, and we know that Holland has a dedication to beauty and the arts that is impressive. I have complete faith in Holland to keep changing to make Holland a great place to live for all it's people.
